Hi everyone, Thann here with an update. There’s been a lot going on in the Eastburn world and somehow in the midst of it, we were able to take a few minutes with a good friend to make some fun photos! Those of you that have followed this blog will remember Dave from our shoot with his ’66 Chevelle. Recently in conversation, one thing led to another and he asked for “a couple of shots” with his Suzuki GSXR. Well, as usual, we got Dave and the bike over to a location and started posing him and shooting away and ended up giving him much more than the “couple of shots” he had in mind. That’s how we love to do it.
On the other hand, this shoot is sort of the making of a “full circle” as far as our photography goes in the Syracuse area. ep relocated a little while ago and Dave, being the friend he is, starred in our first portrait set shot in Syracuse and our last. Thanks Dave! We had a great time hanging out and making these with you!

We’ve just wrapped up the the always entertaining process of hand selecting a few of our favorites for a wedding slideshow – this is the one you’ve been waiting for this week past – Evan and Maia! We had a great time spending the day and coming back with these images and many more. We hope you enjoy these and look forward to the rest! The big day is finally here and eastburn photography will be spending the day with Maia and Evan, capturing their wedding day and all it’s special moments. They’ve put a lot of preparation into this day and so have we, so look forward to some fab new photos to hit the gallery soon!

Hi everyone! Good news! I have a preview set of images from Chad & Cynthia’s wedding to share with you!
I’ve tried about twelve times to write a release post… and now I’m sitting here thinking that I’ve hyped this release so much that it doesn’t need an introduction! So I’ve decided just to say this: to Chad and Cynthia, thank you for trusting us to capture the memories of your special day; to all the family and friends we met as we worked, it was a pure pleasure to meet and talk with all of you. Please enjoy these “teasers” and click on any of them to be taken to the gallery page to see the rest. We hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we enjoyed taking them.

Yep, that’s definitely been us as the holiday season turned into the new year! And it’s certainly not an excuse for the lack of blog posting. Still I thought I should pop in for a catch-you-up post here for those that might not be following us on Facebook. In and amongst the holiday rush, we’ve been involved in some personal development type projects (commonly known on other photographers’ blogs as GOYA, or get-off-your-arse, projects) – the kind that aren’t for public release and meant for raising your skill level. We’ve had a lot of fun challenging ourselves to be more creative and gain even more of a professional edge in our work. If that sounds sort of odd, I think this quote from photographer Edward Weston says it best: “Photography to the amateur is recreation, to the professional it is work, and hard work too, no matter how pleasurable it may be.”
That said, we do enjoy photography even when the pace is very hectic as it has been the last month or so. We rolled right from the year-end into a wedding that was quite large and at the same time, pure joy to shoot – we wouldn’t have missed this one for the world and can’t wait to release the images. Chad and Cynthia are two of this world’s most loving people, as are their families, and the moments we captured at their wedding are some of the most touching we’ve ever taken. Look forward to seeing shots in the next couple of weeks (hopefully! – the couple still has to give their ok!).
Well, I hope you’ve enjoyed this quick tidbit. Watch your mailbox for the next update – it should be a wedding post! (And if you’re not subscribed, do it now! Click the subscribe link at the top of the page!)

It’s that time of year again and the holiday season is upon us… we’ve had our turkey and now it’s time to muster up some cheer to spread! With that in mind, we’ve had some fun trying to come up with interesting images with a holiday theme. We sort of accidentally discovered that this one makes a rather attractive wallpaper and thought we’d share it for others to enjoy. I’ve created several images appropriately sized for wallpaper in the most commonly used desktop resolutions, so please help yourself from these links (right-click and ‘Save As’):
800 x 600 – 1024 x 768 – 1280 x 1024 – 1440 x 900 – 1600 x 1200 – 1920 x 1200

We’re back! And with a new gallery for you! Last weekend, we had the pleasure of photographing a very cool guy (Dave) and his very cool car (a ’66 Chevelle). This was the first session built around our “Man and Machine” concept and it was a very fun shoot. Having fun people there helped a lot, but we got the chance to take some shots that we’ve been conceptualizing for a while now (while we were waiting patiently for schedules and the weather to work with us).
We think they turned out great – we hope you enjoy them and as always, we welcome your comments! Click on any of the images here to jump to the gallery for the rest.

This weekend’s work with ep has been a good distraction for me… got out and went looking for new places to shoot environmental portraits (for those of you not versed in photog-speak, that means portraits that include the location in the shots). Found some really great looking new places for that and got to let the creativity flow by shooting these demo shots you see here. Unlike other posts, these don’t link to a gallery of shots because, well, these are the only shots I’ve put up.
“The reason”, I hear you asking? Well, that’s because we’ve had a lot of requests over the last two months to produce stunning images of cars, bikes, boats, etc. and the people who’ve put so much work into them, whether in customization or restoration… you’ve done all that work and now’s the time to show it off! In response to those requests, we now offer a “Man and Machine” photo session so you can have professional photos of you and your machine(s) to preserve all the memories that go along with the work you’ve done.
How do you get the package and pricing info? Easy! Just click the link above that says “Hire Us!” and you’ll see links to the listings. Each link opens a document in PDF format so you can read it online, download it, or print it. Check that page often, because we’ll be adding more packages over the coming weeks. Enjoy the next two shots and get ready to see more new material soon!

Hello again to all our car fanatics out there – this time, Mustang and Ford fans particularly. We spent the weekend with a bunch of wonderful people in Phelps, NY participating in the first annual Phelps Mustang rally. We had a blast showing the ‘Stang, meeting people, photographing (of course) and hanging out. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we hope there are many more rallies to come.
We’d like to be able thank everyone that made this event possible with their hard work, organizing and conducting the rally, but we just didn’t get to meet everyone that was involved. We did have the pleasure of meeting and talking with the mayor of Phelps (Jim Cheney) and some of the other people that were working while we were having a good time: Dan, Tank, Alan and Anne… everyone else, you know who you are and we’re sorry we didn’t get to speak with you, at least not on a first-name basis!
Well, I’ll get on with my story now, as I usually do… The rally was a two-day event, beginning with a Ford show. The weather looked a bit gloomy, so we heard later in the day of some car owners having decided not to bring their cars out. Still, we had a good number of cars for the first go around. The show ran from 10am to 4pm and then we all lined up to cruise back around to Main St., where we parked all the Stangs (and a Galaxie and an AC Cobra) in a row. It was quite a spectacle and talk about fun! We all gathered around while the awards were handed out and we took home two – Best in Show and Best Male Autocross Time. That’s right – not only does the Stang look good, Thann can drive it, too! Okay, enough of that… the second day’s activity consisted of a poker run through the western Finger Lakes. We’re talking about NY’s wine country here, so naturally a couple of the stops for cards were at wineries. It wasn’t just a fun road course though, the entire Finger Lakes region is absolutely beautiful – mountains and valleys with glacial lakes in between… just a beatiful place. So we wrapped up Sunday with the show of poker hands from the day’s course. Our hand wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t a winner either. Oh well, better luck next time. And that’s my quick synopsis of a weekend full of good times with good people – now, on with the good photos!
As always, you may click on any of the below “teasers” to open our gallery and view all the images. Enjoy!
